Every board is selected from genuine American Black Walnut and sawn to order in our own workshop, then kiln dried. The surface is left as sawn — not planed — ready for you to machine, plane and thickness to your own specification. As with all natural timber, some colour and grain variation should be expected from board to board.

This is rough sawn timber, not planed all round. The surface will be saw-cut and may show saw marks, roughness and slight variation. Listed sizes are nominal, cut-to-order dimensions and may have a small tolerance. Boards are supplied unfinished (no oil, stain or lacquer applied). Being a natural material, colour and grain vary from board to board, and small knots, sapwood streaks or other natural characteristics may be present. Slight movement can occur with changes in humidity — we recommend acclimatising your board indoors before final machining. Photos are representative of the timber you'll receive.
