Every board is selected from genuine Coconut palm timber and machined to order in our own workshop. We plane all four faces to leave straight, square, smooth surfaces — ready for you to oil, wax, stain or finish to taste. As a naturally variable material, density and speckle pattern will differ from board to board, and even along the length of a single board.

Listed sizes are nominal finished dimensions; as with all planed timber, minor variation is normal. Boards are supplied unfinished (no oil, stain or lacquer applied). Coconut is a naturally variable palm timber, not a conventional tree hardwood, so density and the density of the distinctive speckled figure can vary significantly from board to board and along the length of a single board — some areas may be denser and darker than others. Occasional small voids, fibre pockets or grain irregularities may be present. Slight movement can occur with changes in humidity — we recommend acclimatising your board indoors before final machining. Photos are representative of the timber you'll receive.
